You should present a clear argumentative thesis supported by credible, sufficient, relevant, and fully-analyzed evidence. The thesis should be the answer to a previously posed research question, whether it’s the one from your proposal or some variation of it. At its most basic level, this paper is a debatable claim followed by support. Requirements:MLA Manuscript format: double-spaced; 1-inch margins; Times New Roman, 12 pt. font; appropriate headers5 peer-reviewed sources; no more than 7 total.Ten to twelve (10-12) paragraphs, including one (1) introduction paragraph, eight to ten (8-10) body paragraphs, and one (1) conclusion paragraph.Correct MLA in-text citation format. Correctly formatted Works Cited page with correct entries (this contains ONLY the sources you end up citing in the paper).Evident revision and editing.The third-person point of view: no “I” or “You” or “We/Us” Because this paper is your final assessment, much like a final exam, it should exhibit all the skills you have encountered over the semester; you should consider it as evidence of your proficiency in course content.Structure:Introduction paragraph: No more than the first page in length, and only provide background information on your topic, and end with your thesis. Don’t introduce your sources here, and don’t use information that needs to be cited.o You might consider starting with a concrete image/event to introduce readers to some aspect of the issue. Don’t ask a question or give a dictionary definition.o Give background on the topic, but also focus on what’s at stake. By the end of the introduction paragraph, your reader should understand why this topic is important and who cares about it. o As the last sentence or two of the introduction, state your thesis (debatable overall claim) Do not use “I” or phrase the thesis as a question.Body:o Begin with all paragraphs that support your argument. Use TEA (topic sentence, evidence, analysis) for each body paragraph. Fully introduce sources the first time you use them, just as you did in Paper 2.o After all the paragraphs that support your argument (7-9), in 1 or 2 paragraphs at most, identify and refute your counterarguments. Reference the “Guide to Counterarguments.”Conclusion paragraph:o You might want to clarify or reinforce the importance of your issue and argument here.
