Create a Training

Description

Identify your audience and objective. What do you want them to know or be able to do as a result of your training? Select a topic appropriate for the audience and objective. Use key concepts from the course and professional codes for your industry/field of study to identify one topic you could cover in about 30 minutes (e.g., ethical decision making; reporting child abuse on campus; records management; social media use; etc.). Research your topic and use three resources from quality sources. Wikipedia is not acceptable. If you are not sure about your references, ask your instructor for feedback. Write your proposed 30 minute training as an outline. Think of this as an informative research speech outline. Identify 3-4 main points that will roman numerals in your outline. Use standard outline format and complete sentences for main points, complete phrases for all sub-points. Support each main point with sub-points that include reference material. Include an activity or discussion questions to encourage participation. Write your introduction and conclusion (after developing the body of the presentation). Write a strong title for the presentation. Include a reference list in APA format with a minimum of three sources (the textbook does not count as one of the three). Create your training outline as a 3-4 page Word document. Submit your outline to Turnitin and use the similarity report to make any necessary corrections before turning in your assignment to the instructor.
