Position paper on why stem cell research is beneficial

Now that you have explored your particular topic, giving full consideration to the issue objectively and as a whole, your next assignment is to expand on your paper and take a formal position/stand on that issue. Keep in mind that your position does not have to be a stringent for or against the particular issue, though you may. It may fall along a moderate perspective or focus on arguing, causes, solutions of the issue, etc.   Requirements:   Choose an overall claim from one of the five different claims discussed in Chapter 6 of your text as your main claim. Keep in mind that, though most student claims tend to be claims of value, there are others that may serve your needs better. Provide several sub-claims in an effort to support your argument.–You will inevitably touch upon claims of definition, cause, policy, etc. that will serve as focal points for supporting paragraphs. Utilize at least four different types of proofs to support those claims.—Remember you have access to many logical and emotional proofs to support your sub-claims. Though you will probably find yourself using some more than others, it is important to use a variety to make your paper more interesting and readable. Include at least six outside sources in support of your assertions. Keep in mind that you need to cite your sources, evaluate them for credibility, relevance, and timeliness, and that you should not let them stand on their own. In other words, you need to either explain them, comment on them, or both. Give consideration to opposing views. Provide counter-arguments and support those with claims.  15 pages (not including a works cited page)
