Subject: industry seminar At this point, it is time for you to start reaching out to someone you would like to get information on in order for you to start working on your internship/career. The best way to do this is through an Informational Interview. There are a number of resources available in Learning Material in BB to help you with preparing for the Informational Interview. What you will need to do is find someone in the industry you would like to work in and set up an informational interview with them, either by phone or video conferencing. You will need to do research on your interviewee, and their company. Requirements of Informational Interview: Appendix 1: Informational Interview 1. Proof of meeting/talking to a person you did the Informational Interview with. This could either be a business card, screen shot of communication or email trail. Remember, the person you reached out to may be contacted by your instructor to verify the assignment was done. 2. What does one need to know to be able to be successful in this career or industry? 3. What information did you learn about this industry / career that you did not know prior to researching?
