Watch and listen to the 1st movement of Beethoven’s Symphony #1.The conductor is Daniel Barenboim. He is one of the best interpreters of the music of Beethoven of our time. He is conducting the West-Eastern Divan Youth Orchestra. In two short paragraphs, describe how many of the musical elements that are typical of the Classical era are evident in this work. The first movement closely follows the form of Sonata Allegro (which is typical in the first movement of Symphonies).Focus on items such as contrasting themes, changes of tempo, changes of dynamics, melodies dispersed throughout the orchestra, climaxes, etc. Submission is to be completely original.
