Description

This assignment is based on the razing of Africville. You are asked to write a short essay on the following question: Why was Africville targeted for demolition? What could be done to make reparations for past harms related to Africville? Is it possible to do so?   Resources You will need to give reasons and evidence to back up your points – properly referenced. Read “Re-remembering Africville” by Ted Rutland (Brightspace) as a starting point for writing your essay. The assignment is due by midnight, Friday November 6th. Late papers will be penalized five marks per day (5%). Extensions will be given only for documented medical or personal emergencies.
