Description
How it should be organized: A) Intro: Clearly state your answer to the question (e.g., wildfire is the biggest challenge because of the costs). Include a brief outline (1-2 sentences) that highlights the key points of your argument. Also include a short statement of your conclusion. B) Argument/Main body: Two or three examples, cases, reasons that support your argument. These can include broad context examples (e.g., USFS fire costs are increasing) or case specific examples (e.g., community X fire prevention costs are increasing). C) Summary/Conclusion: Briefly restate your findings and answer. Add any additional thought and comments (e.g., more study is needed, without funding increase problem is likely to get worse, etc.). Format: Analytical Essay – WRITING A short, focused answer to the question.
