Prompt is based on the book Celia The Slave my thesis: Celia was Celia’s trial, on October 9th, 1855 in Callaway County Missouri, had a significant impact on the debate of slavery along with the importance of race and gender. The trial revealed more of the horrific acts committed by slave owners to their slaves, which helped to bring forward more awareness and sway some minds of those that have a proslavery political viewpoint.
