Description
These are the only guidelines you have in terms of who you choose to write about and how you choose to present your person and craft your essay. You have as much freedom as you need to write without too many restrictions. Yes, you can consult outside sources to find information about the person you choose, but you should do so by looking for specifics (and other interesting details) that really help you to zoom in on a particular part of that person’s life. Writing a Biographical essay allows you the luxury of being able to judge and critique someone else’s life in order to attain a better understanding about that person and to gain a better understand about yourself and other people. Do your best to incorporate a tone, style, and voice that works best for the person you choose to portray. Have fun with this, and choose someone you really admire. Please try stay far away from choosing a person who is well-known and overly written about already, and try not to write an essay that reads like an encyclopedia entry
