Research Paper: The Editor Write a 1500-1750 word research essay about a film or television editor who has been widely recognized for his work. This research paper should be presented in APA format (includes an abstract, title page, and reference page).  The focus of the paper should be investigating the work and professional contributions of a television or film editor. It should be evident that the editor chosen as the subject of this paper has made advances to the process and development of editing.   (Lee Smith and Michael Kahn may not be chosen. Primary research should be the editor, his tools and techniques. Discuss the collaborative relationship of an editor and a director.  You may focus the editor’s work on one film or program or you may consider his body of work.    This should be an original work for this class.  Use of a previously written paper submitted to any other class violates university policy, will constitute self-plagiarism and result in a “zero” grade for the assignment.  If you’ve written about an editor before, take this opportunity to learn about another great editor.
