Eating Disorders

For this assignment, you will conduct research on the health issue chosen in M3A2 to learn how men and women are affected in different and similar ways due to their sexuality.   In the essay, compare (show how two things are alike) and contrast (how two things are different) the evidence from your research. Use those points to make a meaningful argument about why this information is important in the provision of health care.

For this assignment, write a 4 – 5 page essay consisting of an introductory paragraph, four body paragraphs (2 comparing; 2 contrasting), and a concluding paragraph. Use a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed references from the Excelsior Library to support your key points.

Use the following outline to complete this assignment.

1. Title Page
2. Introduction Paragraph:

• Provide a brief description of the health issue selected
• Identify the population you will be comparing and contrasting (male and female)
• Include useful statistics regarding the heal
• Discuss cause and/or reason for this health issue
• Provide a thesis statement: this is your last sentence and is the overarching point you’re going to make regarding the intention for this paper.

1. Body of Paper will consist of 4 paragraphs (2 for comparing and 2 for contrasting). This section identifies the key similarities and differences between men and women in regard to the health issue described in #1.

Paragraph 1:  

• Identify 1st similarity between men and women with this health issue/risk
• Provide key supporting evidence from peer review literature.
• Concluding sentence summarize the main points of paragraph and transitions to the next paragraph

Paragraph 2: 

• Identify 2nd similarity between men and women with this health issue/risk
• Provide key supporting evidence from peer review literature.
• Concluding sentence summarizes main points of paragraph.

Paragraph 3:

• Identify 1st difference to be discussed in this paragraph
• Provide key supporting evidence from peer review literature.
• Concluding sentence summarize the main points of paragraph and transitions to the next paragraph

Paragraph 4:

• Identify 1st difference to be discussed in this paragraph
• Provide supporting evidence from peer review literature.
• Concluding sentence summarize the main points of paragraph and transitions to the next paragraph

1. Closing argument (conclusion):

• Restate your thesis statement from Introduction.
• Summarize the similarities and differences from body of paper.
• Discuss what you learned from this assignment
• Explain why this is important information regarding health care of both sexes.
