It helps to promote positive ideas to help organizations transform and grow. It also helps one to become knowledgeable and grow and learn how to deploy and cross the boundary between science and politics (Palmer, Owens, & Doubleday, 2018). Elevator Speech Hi, my name is Grace Levy-Baldwin I am a Masters’s student at Walden University. As a nurse for eight years, COVID-19 is something that we have never experienced. The treatment is still being researched but so far studies confirm it affects the respiratory system. An arterial blood gas is necessary to guide the treatment of the condition. I strongly suggest we purchase at least two machines to help provide better care for our patients. This machine is a vital resource in the emergency room and intensive care units (Castro, & Keenaghan, 2020). It is a very good investment that provides, timely intervention for COVID-19 patients requiring ABG’s as is fast and readily acquired. Arterial blood gases have proven to prioritize treatment provided to critically ill patients and increases the in-hospital interventions such as intubations (Zwisler, Zincuk, Bering, Zincuk, Nybo, & Mikkelsen, 2019). The machine is able to assess the patient’s oxygenation, ventilation, and acid-base status. It cost-effective, and puts the department as well as the institution on top as one of the best. It will have positive budgetary impacts on the organization as much revenue will be generated from it. The strength of purchasing these machines is that it will provide added speed, efficiency, and reduce waiting time for patients. It will be of low cost to the patients and one weakness will be local maintenance, it will however provide opportunities for improved patient outcomes with a minimal threat of damage due to natural disasters.
