Description
In a 2 to 3-page (double spaced) paper, argue whether affirmative action policies are appropriate or not for higher education admissions decisions. Some questions to consider: Is it Constitutionally permissible? Are such policies (that take an applicant’s race into account) ethical? Are they the only way to achieve diversity on campus? (Which raises another related question: is “diversity” a necessary goal for the college environment?) Who are the beneficiaries of affirmative action? And who are its “invisible” victims?
