This Summative Assessment is designed to assess your knowledge and understanding of in order to fulfil the Assessment Criteria (AC) for Learning Outcome: LO3: Understand why supply chains may not always function correctly. Assessment Criteria: In order to meet the requirements of the Learning Outcome, you will be assessed on the following Criteria: 3.1   Describe the barriers to the effective working of a supply chain (800 – 1000 words) 3.2   Discuss the possible solutions to the barriers identified in AC 3.1 and how they can be applied (800 – 1000 words) Critical Assignment Criteria Your submission should be written from the third person point of view. Do not use “I”, “We”, “Us”, “Our” unless this is a direct quote where quotation marks are required. The Assignment structure should consist of the following and failing to do so will result in a referral: loSCM Assignment Cover Sheet to include your name, learner number, unit title and assignment number; Ensure you answer each question under a subject heading i.e. AC1.1 should have a title of Assessment Criteria 1.1 with your answer written beneath. This needs to be repeated for each criteria (AC1.1, AC1.2, AC1.3). Ensure that you have proof read your work before submission. This will highlight spelling, grammar and sentencing formation errors. Without clear referencing there could be a suspicion of plagiarism if you copy and paste from other sources; At level 5, 6 and 7 there is a requirement to meet the following standards for each assignment you produce; There is a requirement for evidence of research, this must be through the use of Harvard style referencing. Appendices for all documentation discussed within the assignment (work related, models, theories).
