Although the Primary season seemed lengthy, business mogul Donald Trump seemed to be the only viable GOP candidate to win the GOP nomination at the convention. While Donald Trump was nominated for the Republicans, Hillary Clinton was officially nominated as the Democratic candidate to run for the oval office in November, 2016. After these candidates were officially selected/elected by their respective parties, they made a short list and vetted individuals who could be their running mate on their presidential ticket. As former President Obama stepped down, for this assignment, please consider the Democratic nominee and profile Hillary Clinton as the candidate and determine how formidable she was as a candidate against the Republican nominee; Donald Trump. Include your thoughts on what Secretary Hillary Clinton was looking for in a Vice Presidential running mate, taking into consideration what his strengths and weaknesses were. (Helpful hint: You will want to focus on the philosophical differences between Republicans and Democrats, and how they address various issues.) Please include a minor party for contrast, such as the Libertarians, Greens or Reformists.
