Description
Informative memos are used to educate others, bring attention to matters of importance, and explain actions or situations. These memos are written to highlight options, compare alternatives, and/or provide analysis. The effectiveness depends largely on the ability of the writer to convey complex information in a simple way that is easily understood by the reader (audience) and provides content necessary to educate the reader on what is needed to understand an issue or make a well informed decision. For this assignment, you are a Sergeant writing to your officers. You are informing your personnel on the importance of Due Process and how it relates to Search and Seizure. You will also explain the Exceptions to the Exclusionary Rule. This is an effort to inform your officers, so they are clear in understating the law and what they should be taking into account before taking actions that are governed by due process.
