Determine what motivates you. What are key extrinsic motivators? What are key intrinsic motivators? What type of learning orientation or combinations of orientations would you have according to the Houle Typology (Goal, Social, or Learning Orientation)? Reflect on your own learning in courses and workshops. Recall your teachers. Which ones made you feel passionate and excited about learning? What did they do? What can you infer about your own learning motivation based on this experience? How do you emulate past motivating teachers in your own practices? Discuss whether you are right brained or left brained and how you may utilize concepts you discovered to assist the learning of right-brained and left-brained learners.
