Emotional Intelligence (EI) has become one of the most widely studied constructs in Management and Leadership over the past two decades. EI is defined as an individual’s capacity for recognizing his or her own emotions and those of others, including the five components of self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. Conduct some research in your college library and summarize the view of management experts on the following question: Is Emotional Intelligence as important to Chinese managers and leaders as it is to Western managers and leaders?
