Description
Dear Class, Your term paper is due by the end of week 6 at midnight. Take an issue about a religion of your choice (excluding one to which you or your culture is related…this is the same rule as the field trip) and discuss a present day problem facing that faith internally or with the world at large. This is not to be an outline of that religion or revisiting a weekly assignment. Clear the topic with me in advance. The paper is to be 12-pages in length, double-spaced, 1 inch margins, headers, and footers (meaning 12-pages of your writing on the topic…excluding title page, works cited, etc.), 12-font. You can use either MLA or APA style. Here are some possible topics: Tibetan Buddhism and the influence of China Hindu extremism toward Muslims in India (only if you aren’t from one of these religions) Muslim fundamentalism/extremism (only if you aren’t from this religion) Sikh demands for independence from India Christian fundamentalism and church/state issues (only if you aren’t from a Christian community) You will post your term paper as if it was a regular weekly posting, and you will be expected reply to your classmates’ postings. The same rules apply. To get 100% for the week’s grade, you will have to post 5-substantive replies of at least 150-words per reply to your classmates’ papers. Address and sign your replies…if you wish to get credit for it. You do not have to address and sign the term paper. My topic : Tibetan Buddhism and the influence of China
