Stair assignment

Description

1.Develop an accessible circulation system with a ramp and stair to connect the existing side walk to the lobby as shown in the plan. The drawing file associated with the plan is named; rampassignment.dwg. The assignment has to be worked out using ACAD OR HAND SKETCHING with all necessary dimensions showing. The file has be uploaded to blackboard as a pdf file. The floor elevation of the side walk is 0” and the lobby is 36”.Create a new landing before the lobby that will accommodate a vestibule. The ramp forms part of the means of egress. a. Vestibule shall have a minimum width of 6’ (it can be more if your design permits). b. Maintain a 1’-0” width for walls for the vestibule. c. Vestibule depth and other provisions as per the provisions of the IBC. d. Ramp widths, slope, landing widths and depths have to be as per the provisions of the IBC. e. All landing levels have to be clearly mentioned. f. Stair width, stair treads and risers depths & heights to be made as per the provisions of the IBC g. Handrails to be provided on both stairs and ramps based on provisions of the IBC. h. Door openings and direction of traffic flow as per the provisions of the IBC. Assignment will be named: lastnamefirstname ramp. Pdf I will not have access to ACAD through part of the summer so please do not upload drawing files. Uploading of drawing files will result in a ‘0’ for the assignment. All pdf files should be printed with the correct pen assignments and should be monochrome. All color files will receive a 10 point deduction. The work produced here should be your own.
