Description
Scenario 2 You are a student in Year 1. You have been tasked with the responsibility of writing a 2500-word report, reviewing main ESBM concepts, learnt in class, and analysing a business case, looking at the achievements of a particular entrepreneur and examining her entrepreneurial spirit. Task 2 Section 1: 1. Define what the concept of an entrepreneur is, and provide some examples of different entrepreneurs in business. 2. Explore the type of entrepreneurial ventures and investigate the similarities and differences between them. Section 2: Examine the following case study: JUNIQE – a lifestyle brand for curated and affordable wall art and home accessories. It’s based in Berlin. They work with over 600 artists to create original posters, wrapping paper, notepads, and even shower curtains. That’s how its co-founder, Lea Lange described her reasons to be involved in this enterprise: – I have always loved art and design, decorating and styling. JUNIQE was created because, although I knew a lot about these topics, there was nowhere I knew of to buy individual and affordable artwork. With furniture and other home accessories it’s possible to buy products that vary in price but this just wasn’t the case with art. We decided to change this… Investigate Lea Lange’s activities and achievements in your report. Make sure that you cover the following areas: 1. Explain the difference between an entrepreneur and a manager. 2. Utilise the Big-5 Model and assess Lea Lange’s entrepreneurial personality. 3. Utilise Maslow’s Pyramid and determine if there is a correlation between entrepreneurial characteristics and entrepreneurial success. 4. Critically evaluate the influence (both positive and negative) that other factors have in fostering or hinder entrepreneurial success (your analysis should include education, financial status, and demographic factors). This provides evidence for LO1, LO3 and LO4 Word count: minimum 2000 words. Students will not be penalised for exceeding this limit.
