Shared Vision Paper (APA Format)

Description

After reading ISTE’s essential condition of Student-centered Learning; information regarding constructivist learning/engaged learning; and district, state, and national technology plans, students will construct a 3-5 sentence shared vision statement that reflects what types of technology use stakeholders hope to see in their school/district in near future (3-5 years). Students will also provide readers with a descriptive rationale that includes specific examples or scenarios of what that vision looks like in practice, as well as discuss stakeholder roles and how the stakeholders envision technology supporting local strategic initiatives and diverse populations—specifically digital equity for low SES and gender groups in the school and district. The narrative will articulate plans for advocating for solutions to address technology-related diversity issues. To facilitate a shared vision (PSC 1.1), students will incorporate ideas from their previous and current observations and thoughts regarding how the school/district may move forward with technology integration. Additional considerations should include the school’s plans for using technology to support learning as identified in the school’s improvement plan or technology plan, as well as supporting literature to provide the rationale for their vision.
