BIBLICAL THEOLOGY PLAN INSTRUCTIONS This assignment allows for the application of theological terms to ministry development. It is critical that students build their ministry event upon a foundation of biblical theology. The student will incorporate key concepts from the theological terms defined for Journal 1 as well as an adequate understanding of spiritual formation into their development and application of ministry events. Part 2 will require the student to submit a theology plan that will inform the student’s approach to developing a ministry strategy and event. Based on the theological terms developed in Journal 1, reading from the Ecologies book, and key biblical passages, the student will develop an integrative plan that informs ministry and event planning. The student will demonstrate how their understanding of theological terms and spiritual formation informs and influences their ideas for a ministry event. For example, how does an understanding of the image of God influence the ministry event planning and execution? Part 2: Biblical Theology Plan For the Theology Plan paper, the following steps or components must be reflected. The plan will reflect the following elements: Step 1: Develop an adequate treatment of theological terms as they apply to ministry contexts. Using some of the terms you defined, write out an approach to developing a ministry event that incorporates these terms. For example, how does an understanding of anthropology influence your ideas about a ministry event. Step 2: Develop an adequate treatment of understanding and applying spiritual formation as it relates to whole person transformation. This development should incorporate readings from the Ecologies book, key biblical passages, and the student’s own experiences. This treatment should inform how the student comes at an understanding of event planning and development. Step 3: Summarize the plan by identifying how theology and spiritual ecology informs and influences how the student will develop a ministry event. This assignment must be 1,000–2,000 words, not including the title page and bibliography, and must incorporate elements from the course readings to date.
